Janet Liesemer
| Janet Liesemer was born and raised in Toronto. She graduated from high school and then followed her studies by taking Interior Design at a local College. After working in the city for many years outside of her field of interest Janet found herself frustrated by her lack of time and energy for her true passion: art. In 2000 she left the city and moved to Walkerton hoping to devote more time to her art, a decision that proved well founded because it reunited her with her true passion as an artist. In 2000 Janet started her own business, Paint by Design and is now devoted full-time to her art. She specializes in interior painting, murals and commissioned artwork. Since her childhood, the outdoors has played a major role in Janet's life. Her love of the outdoors is reflected in her artwork as seen in her landscape paintings. Basically a self-taught watercolour & acrylic artist, Janet enjoys trying to reflect her personal connection with God and His wonderful creation in her paintings. Her love of travel has contributed to her artwork, from the hiking trails of Vermont, the bright colours and architecture of Mexico to the rolling hills of England. All are a source of inspiration. Janet, along with her husband, currently reside in the picturesque village of Ayton, Ontario. Janet attends local craft shows and will be a vendor at the Kincardine Market in 2010. |
